About 94 students of the Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU) of Bihar could not write their last paper of the second semester postgraduate Hindi exam, as the question papers were not printed by the university. Post the incident, the vice chancellor served a show cause notice to the controller of examination along with the head of Hindi post graduation department.

The date of second semester post graduation exam was announced in the second week of March. Exams of three papers had been conducted but the final paper was cancelled as question papers could not be printed. Sadly, 94 students taking the exam had to return without writing it.

The university is yet to declare the new examination date.

TMBU public relations officer (PRO) Ashok Thakur said, “The CBCS was introduced to allow students flexibility to choose any subject (from science, arts or commerce streams) in the fourth paper. The Hindi HoD has claimed that printing of question papers could not be initiated as he was not aware which subjects the students opted for in the fourth paper.”

The TMBU has struggled to stick to its examination schedule.
