The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced Dream 11 as the new title sponsor for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.

It is learned Tata group, Reliance Jio, Patanjali, and Edu tech platforms Byjus and Unacademy were other bidders for the sponsorship.
Ever since the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suspended the title sponsorship deal with Chinese mobile manufacturer Vivo, several brands have shown interest in bagging the deal for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) –which is scheduled to be held in the UAE from September 19.
Dream11 is a fantasy sports platform based in India that allows users to play fantasy cricket, hockey, football, kabaddi and basketball. In April 2019, Dream11 became the first Indian gaming company to enter the ‘Unicorn Club’.
