Fart disrupts proceedings in Kenya’s regional assembly meet

A debate in Kenya’s regional assembly meet was disrupted by a foul smell on Wednesday.

“Honourable Speaker, one of us has polluted the air and I know who it is,” Julius Gaya reportedly told Homa Bay county assembly. The Speaker allowed a ten minute break in the meeting for the smell to clear from assembly.

The accused replied, “I am not the one. I cannot do such a thing in front of my colleagues.”

The speaker also reportedly ordered for air fresheners to be brought in and said, “We cannot continue sitting in an environment that smells that bad.”

“We cannot continue sitting in an environment that smells bad.”

Once the smell had dissipated the meeting continued and went on with no further interruption.
