FASTag Annual Pass Fee to Rise: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has decided to slightly increase the FASTag Annual Pass fee from the next financial year. The new price will start from April 1, 2026.

At present the annual pass costs Rs 3,000. From the new financial year the price will rise to Rs 3,075. This change follows the rules mentioned under the National Highways Fees Rules, 2008.

Officials said the updated charges will apply from the start of the 2026-27 financial year. With only a short time left before the change begins drivers who use the annual pass should be aware of the new fee.

Who will be Affected by the New FASTag Fee?

The revised FASTag Annual Pass price will apply to private vehicle owners who already have a valid FASTag. The pass is only meant for non commercial vehicles.

Drivers who have the annual pass can use it at many toll plazas on National Highways and National Expressways across the country. The pass works at around 11,500 toll plazas managed under the highway network.

The government has said the toll system will still follow the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008.

What the FASTag Annual Pass Offers

The FASTag Annual Pass is a one time payment system for private vehicles. Instead of paying toll every time during travel drivers can pay a single yearly fee.

With this pass vehicles can travel through selected NHAI toll plazas without repeated payments. The pass allows up to 200 toll crossings in a year or stays active for one year. Whichever limit is reached first will end the validity of the pass.

Vehicle owners who buy the pass do not need to add money again and again before every highway trip. The system is designed to make travel easier and smoother. The facility is available to all non commercial vehicles as long as the FASTag connected to the vehicle remains valid.
