Expressing confidence that BJP will perform better in UP elections, BJP President Amit Shah on Monday said that they are going to form a government in the state with 2/3rd majority.

“In the 5th phase of UP polls we have formed the government and in 6th, 7th phase the party will cross the 2/3rd majority,” he said in exclusive interview with a new channel.

Reacting on Sakshi Maharaj’s remark, BJP president said “If you assume the statement of a party worker can reveal the party’s strategy, that is torture with us.” He added that the party is contesting elections on the agenda of development.

BJP leader Sakshi Maharaj had said that there should be no graveyard at all in the country and all should be cremated, taking a cue from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose graveyard-cremation ground statement triggered an uproar.

Taking a dig at SP and BSP, Amit Shah said that their rule has created chaos in the state.  “Deliberately the state government has avoided action against Gayatri Prajapati,” he alleged.

He also alleged that Akhilesh government has distributed laptops based on religion and caste.

He added that RBI has circulated new notes and if someone finds lotus on them, then they are suffering from BJP phobia.

Reacting on BJP’s MP Shatrughan Sinha remark, Amit Shah said “That’s his duty as MP. Kashi is the centre of 40 seats, he (PM) stayed there to campaign. It’s neither new nor something which a PM shouldn’t do.”

“If an MP meets his constituents in the election, how can someone call it desperation?” Amit Shah said.
