FMGE 2024: As of now, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) says the Foreign Medical Graduate Exam (FMGE) for 2024 will likely take place in January of that year. Later, the exact date and time of the FMGE 2024 test will be made public. People who want to take this test can see the official notice on the website natboard.edu.in. The test will be given online at test centers across the country using a computer-based test (CBT).
As per the official notice, “The applicants who are desirous to appear in next Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) are hereby informed that National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) shall conduct the next FMGE tentatively in January 2024 on a Computer Based Platform at various test centres across the country.”
FMGE 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Those who want to apply for FMGE 2024 must be Indian citizens or overseas citizens of India. Candidates must have earned their primary medical qualification, which is a valid license to practice medicine in the country where the institution giving the qualification is based. Besides that, they should have finished and been told the results of their final exam for the main medical qualification.
Candidates must have obtained an ‘Eligibility Certificate’ from the National Medical Commission (formerly the Medical Council of India). They must have successfully cleared the ‘National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Admission to the MBBS course.’

Exam Pattern for FMGE 2024
The FMGE 2024 test will have 300 multiple-choice questions spread out over two parts. Each part will last 150 minutes. This December, the FMGE 2023 exam is likely to be given in 40 different towns all over India. To be eligible for the FMGE, candidates must be medical graduates who got their first medical degree outside of India and who are either Indian citizens or Indian citizens living outside of India.
People who have graduated from medical school and want to work as doctors in India must take the FMGE exam. The NBEMS holds it twice a year, and Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) who want to get a registration license from the National Medical Commission (NMC) or their State Medical Council (SMC) can attend.
