Coronavirus has caused a lot of havoc in the nation. Apart from the havoc that has been caused in terms of the infections that have crossed the 1200 mark and death toll inching towards 30. There is a widespread migrant exodus happening in the country. With some experts even terming the widespread exodus as one of India’s large scale migrations ever seen in history except for partition, the workers fear that they would die of hunger.
Several relief measures have been promised by the centre including a relief package that the centre has promised to the migrant workers.
A lot of state governments have promised that they would assist the migrants. Recently Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal told the workers that he would take care of their daily requirements and that the migrants do not have to worry as their daily requirements will be met by the government.
