Karnataka CET for various courses postponed amid COVID-19 lockdown

A decision on the revised schedule will be taken after discussions with the officials of Karnataka Education Authority.

The Common Entrance Test for vocations courses, which was slated to be conducted on April 22 and April 23, has been postponed in the wake of COVID-19 and lockdown till further notice, deputy chief minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan said her on Monday, March 31, 2020.

“The Pre-University Exam has not been completed yet due to COVID-19 and also the prevailing situation is not normal. Hence, the CET exam has been postponed. The dates would be announced in the third week of April,” Narayan said in a statement.

A decision on the revised schedule will be taken after discussions with the officials of Karnataka Education Authority.

While the PUC examination was stopped midway, the SSLC examination was also deferred for an indefinite period in view of the coronavirus lockdown in Karnataka.
