Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Dilip Ghosh is set to marry Rinku Majumdar, also a leader in the saffron party, in a private ceremony today. News of their marriage is already making headlines.
Who Is Rinku Majumdar?
Rinku Majumdar, a BJP Mahila Morcha (Women’s Wing) leader from Newtown, is believed to have joined the party through Ghosh. As per Anandabazar, she is the mother of a 25-year-old son.
In a News18 interview, Rinku, who called Ghosh the “most eligible bachelor” in her area, shared that their first conversation happened before the 2021 elections.
Reports suggest that Rinku was previously married, and her son works at an IT company in Kolkata’s Salt Lake area.
The two are getting married today in a private ceremony.
Speculation around their relationship began when the two were spotted together at an Eden Gardens match.
Rinku and Dilip’s wedding, to be held at Ghosh’s residence, will follow Hindu rituals and remain a small event.

In her News18 interview, Rinku also shared why she chose Ghosh:
“I have a son. I’ve devoted my life to him. For 17 years, I fulfilled all my responsibilities. At a key point, I decided I needed clarity. Who would be the right person? The mistake I made at 17—I can’t repeat it now. I wanted someone dignified, with a mindset that aligns with mine. I also have a duty to society,” she said.
Dilip Ghosh is a key BJP figure in West Bengal and has been instrumental in establishing the party as the state’s main opposition.
