Petrol Price In India: On Thursday, June 8, the price of petrol and diesel remained unchanged in New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai. Each day’s gasoline and diesel prices, whether new or unchanged, are announced at 6 a.m. These vary from state to state due to value-added tax (VAT), freight fees, and local taxes, among other factors.

The price of petrol has increased by 50 paise and diesel by 49 paise in Chhattisgarh. The price of petrol has increased by 27 paise and diesel by 25 paise in Bihar. The cost of petrol and diesel has increased in Himachal Pradesh, Goa, and Karnataka. In Maharashtra, fuel prices have decreased by 52 paise for petrol and 50 paise for diesel. In Jharkhand, the price of petrol has decreased by 30 paise and diesel by 29 paise. The price of petrol has decreased by 46 paise and diesel by 43 paise in West Bengal. In comparison to other metropolitan areas, the price of petrol and diesel in Chennai has increased slightly.

The current price of petrol in Delhi is Rs 96.72 per litre, while diesel costs Rs 89.62 per litre. While in Mumbai, petrol costs Rs 106.31 per litre and diesel costs Rs 94.27 per litre. While petrol in Kolkata is Rs 106.03 and diesel is Rs 92.76 per litre. In Chennai, petrol costs Rs 102.63 per litre and diesel costs Rs 94.24 per litre.

In India, petrol and diesel prices are determined by oil marketing companies (OMCs) such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum. This is performed on a daily basis, and rates are determined in accordance with the global price of crude oil.
