Petrol, diesel prices witnessed further reduction for the sixth straight day on Tuesday bringing relief to consumers from never-ending fuel rate hikes. The petrol in Delhi came down by Rs 0.10 and was revised to Rs 81.34 per litre, where as, in Mumbai, petrol price came down to Rs 0.10 and was sold at Rs 86.81 per litre. Diesel in Delhi was brought down to Rs 0.07 making it cost Rs 74.85 and in Mumbai, diesel price was reduced to Rs 0.08 to be sold at the cost of Rs 78.46 per litre.

The fuel prices had been witnessing a relentless hike since the past few months in the country, burning a hole in the common commuter’s pocket. Before the October 5 price cut, petrol in Delhi had hit an all-time high of Rs 84 per litre and diesel was at record Rs 75.45. This came down to Rs 81.50 per litre for petrol and Rs 72.95 in case of diesel.
