Ghaziabad Lok Sabha constituency will see sitting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP) Vijay Kumar Singh contesting to retain his seat. While, Samajwadi Party leader Suresh Bansal will contest for the BSP-SP-RLD alliance. The Congress party has fielded Dolly Sharma.
The Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh will take place across seven phases, with eight constituencies to go for elections in the first phase on April 11, as announced by the Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora on March 10.
The Election Commission of India announced that the general elections will begin on April 11, with the last phase taking place on May 19, the results are slated to be announced on May 23.
Uttar Pradesh has a total of 80 Lok Sabha constituencies.
