A part of Gokhale Bridge, a footover bridge connecting Andheri East and Andheri west in Mumbai, collapsed over the railway track this morning due to heavy rainfall.
No loss of life has been reported so far.
Fire bridged, Municipal Corporation of Mumbai, NDRF team as well as other security staff has been deputed to the spot.
All the western railways lines have come to a halt, resulting in the diversion of entire traffic.
Continuous heavy rainfall from hours has flooded the area, making it even more difficult for the citizens to commute. India Mateorological Department has forecasted heavy rainfall to continue for next 2 days.
