Sergey Brin, a co-founder of Google, and Nicole Shanahan, a lawyer and businesswoman, discreetly concluded their divorce following claims that she had an affair with billionaire Elon Musk, according to Page Six. According to court records, the couple’s divorce was officially announced on May 26. Physical and legal custody of their 4-year-old daughter will now be shared.
Despite the fact that Mr. Shanahan did not object to the divorce, she requested spousal support, according to the court documents. In private arbitration, they also resolved other problems like the payment of attorneys’ fees and the partition of property.
Notably, Mr. Brin and Nicole Shanahan began dating in 2015, the same year that his divorce from his first wife, Anne Wojcicki, was finalized. They later got married in 2018.

They began living apart, however, in 2021, and Mr. Brin then filed for divorce in 2022, citing “irreconcilable difference.” He filed for divorce around a month after his wife allegedly had a brief liaison with Elon Musk, whom he had known for years, according to the New York Post. Both Mr. Musk and Ms. Shanahan, though, denied having an affair.

Ms. Shanahan described the affair as “utterly devastating” in the meantime. She stated that her relationship with Mr. Musk was limited to being pals at best.
Did Elon and I engage in sexual activity like it was a brief, passionate encounter before it ended? No. Were we romantically involved? No. She insisted that we weren’t having an affair in July. The Wall Street Journal, on the other hand, asserted that they are “assured in our sourcing and stand by our story.”
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the 50-year-old co-founder of Google is the ninth richest person in the world with a net worth of $118 billion. According to her LinkedIn profile, Ms. Shanahan, 34, is an attorney based in California and the creator and president of the Bia-Echo Foundation.
