GTA 6 Pre-Orders Open: Rockstar Games has now opened pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI. The game is set to arrive on November 19, 2026, and it will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar’s official site says the game is a single-player experience and places it in Leonida, with Vice City as a major part of the world.
Two versions and Two prices
The standard edition will cost $79.99. Players who want the bigger package can buy the Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition for $99.99. Rockstar says the Ultimate Edition comes with an exclusive collection of items tied to Jason and Lucia’s story. The official site also highlights the Vintage Vice City Pack as a pre-order bonus.
For Indian gamers, GTA 6’s price of ₹5,999 is higher than most recent big-budget games. Most new PlayStation 5 and Xbox titles usually launch between ₹4,999 and ₹5,599. While GTA 6 costs a little more, the price is still close to what many players were expecting.
GTA 6 Standard Edition or Ultimate Edition?
Players who want more content can choose the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition, which is priced at ₹7,499. The standard version costs less, but the Ultimate Edition comes with several extra in-game items and features.
According to Rockstar, the Ultimate Edition includes special content linked to the stories of the game’s two main characters Jason and Lucia. Players will also get premium vehicles, exclusive weapons, unique outfits, and other bonus items that are not available in the standard version.
The Ultimate Edition offers much more than a simple early-access or bonus pack. It adds extra missions, businesses, side activities, tattoos, hairstyles, vehicle upgrades, and additional character customisation options. Rockstar has also reserved some content only for Ultimate Edition owners, including special classic cars, exclusive weapon options, unique vehicle modification shops, and extra cosmetic items for characters.

The pricing now matches the kind of premium launch many fans expected for a game this large. Rockstar has confirmed the price on its own store pages and on Take-Two’s investor news release, so this is not just a rumor.
When can they play?
Digital pre-orders are live on official storefronts, including the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store, along with the Rockstar Store and some other retailers. Players who buy the digital version can start pre-loading on November 12, 2026, so the game is ready before launch day. Rockstar says the physical version will also arrive on November 12, but the box will contain a download code instead of a disc.

That means people who still want a boxed copy will not get an actual game disc. Rockstar’s support page makes this clear and says the code-in-box version is meant to support pre-loading. The same page also says digital buyers get one month of GTA+ Membership at no extra cost if they purchase before November 20, 2026.
