GTA 6 Release Date: Fans of Grand Theft Auto are growing impatient over the dearth of information regarding GTA VI, dismissing a recent leak as “AI-generated” nonsense.
Rockstar Games continues to remain reticent regarding Grand Theft Auto VI’s development. Rockstar’s publisher, Take-Two Interactive, has suggested at a 2025 release, but the company has made no official announcements, not even a release date.
GTA 6 Release Date Hype: Fans Swiftly Debunk Announcement
In the interim, internet leaks and rumours have spread like wildfire, providing an early glimpse at gameplay, confirming that the game takes place in Vice City, and revealing other unconfirmed details.
However, while there are a reasonable number of authentic leaks, there are unfortunately an equal number of fake ones. Recently, a Twitter user shared what was initially believed to be a voice recording of the CEO of Take-Two Interactive saying, “An announcement is expected very soon on October 23… the next Grand Theft Auto game is expected to launch on October 24.”
Fans swiftly debunked the alleged voice recording, asserting that it is completely fabricated and was likely created using the most advanced AI tools and software.
Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick talks about a possible GTA 6 release date when asked about when Rockstar might ship the game.

This must be Ai because the CEO of Rockstar would never disclose when the game will be released.
“This is clearly a forgery. “Go on”
This is AI… There is a 0% chance that the CEO would carelessly disclose release and announcement dates, even if they are not intended for public consumption.
The Twitter user responded to the backlash by stating, “Let me clarify one thing, as people believe this video is from me: EVERY leak I post has a chance of being fake, including this one. This video was sent to me by a user, and I uploaded it.
The video was subsequently copyrighted and removed from the platform, prompting the user to respond with, “So this post was removed because of copyright… Does this prove its authenticity?”
Until Rockstar or Take-Two officially announce their marketing and release plans for the title, nothing can be confirmed at this time.
