Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national chief, Amit Shah, on Sunday flagged off the ‘Gujarat Gaurav Yatra’ from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s village Karamsad in a run up to the Gujarat Assembly polls 2017, that is scheduled for December this year. While addressing the public at an event, Shah said that the emerging BJP will be invincible while claiming that the party is not a machine but, a machine for the development of the nation.

While targeting the Congress, the minister said, “Congress keeps on asking what has the BJP done for the development of the nation. I say, the BJP has worked hard to provide 24 hours electricity in Gujarat.” The event was also attended by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani who accused the Congress of not letting Sardar Patel, a leader of the Indian National Congress, come forward.

This is the second edition of “Gujarat Gaurav Yatra,” as the then chief minister, Narendra Modi, had taken out a yatra with the same name before the 2002 state assembly elections.
