The Zoya Akhtar directorial movie that was released on Valentine’s Day has completed one week and the film is roaring at the box office. After a successful week, the film on its 8th day has entered the 100 core club.
The movie is not only doing well domestically but also winning hearts overseas. The film which collected 50 crores on its opening weekend has now hit a century. As per the early estimates, the movie has earned Rs 4.8 crore on Thursday taking the total collection of the film to Rs 100 crore (Approx)
Not only the star cast but the film has some very brilliant performance from the new-comers as well. The portrayal of MC Sher by Sidhant Chaturvedi has also won many hearts of the audience and made him the National Crush of the nation.
The film is based on a slum rapper from Mumbai who wants to rise above his socio-economic status to become a star. The film is inspired from two street rappers Divine and Naezy.
Special screening of the film was also held in Mumbai. The actors have received many appreciations for their performance from their families as well as the audience. International rap artist Will Smith also praised Ranveer’s performance in Gully Boy.
Zoya Akhtar directorial film also stars Kalki Koechlin, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Vijay Raaz and Amruta Subhash in important roles.
