Karim Mostafa Benzema, born on 19 December 1987, is a French professional footballer who plays as a striker for Spanish club Real Madrid and the France national team. A creative forward known for his playmaking and finishing, Benzema is regarded as one of the best strikers in the world.

Many will say that the four-time Champions League winner started scoring frequently when Cristiano Ronaldo left for Juventus in 2018.

But the sex-scandal of November 2015, left a big mark on Karim Benzema as he was axed from the national side never to have returned ever since, with then Prime Minister having his say that he has “no place” in the team whatsoever.
