Amid escalating conflict in the Middle East, Akhilesh Yadav, Samajwadi Party president, has called for a strong focus on India’s national security and foreign policy. Yadav urges the government to address issues impacting the safety of citizens stranded abroad.

He pointed out the need for India to maintain independence in its foreign policy decisions, indicating that current choices reflect an over-reliance on the United States. Yadav demands a review of policies affecting sovereignty, particularly in the context of essential supplies like oil.

Highlighting the plight of Indians unable to return due to the conflict, including journalists accompanying Prime Minister Modi, Yadav calls for their safe return. He also stresses the necessity for continuous availability of essential commodities to tackle inflation.
