Coachella Safari Camping Cost: Every April, thousands of music lovers travel to the California desert for Coachella. The event takes place near Palm Springs, surrounded by the San Jacinto, Santa Rosa, and Little San Bernardino Mountains. This beautiful area was once home to the Cahuilla Native Americans.
Coachella runs over two weekends and attracts people from all over the world. With so many people coming, hotel prices go up fast. That’s why many fans choose to camp instead, just like in the early days of the festival. Camping lets you enjoy the full festival vibe while avoiding the high costs of hotels.

Safari Camping: All you need to know
For those who want comfort and luxury while still staying close to the action, Coachella offers Safari camping. These special camping areas sit behind the main festival area and give guests access to private spaces with beautiful views of the mountains and palm trees.
There are two types of Safari options:
- Safari tents
- Safari cabanas
Each comes in three price levels. Tier 1 costs $10,000, Tier 2 is $11,000, and Tier 3 is $12,000. These prices cover one weekend. Right now, only Tier 3 options are still available for both tents and cabanas. Each tent or cabana is for two people, but guests can add two more for an extra fee, though that fee has not yet been shared.

Safari Tents
Safari tents offer more than just a place to sleep. They come with air conditioning, fully furnished sleeping arrangements, and private bathrooms with showers. Guests also receive breakfast and snacks at night, access to an air-conditioned lounge, and help from a friendly concierge team. The package includes golf cart rides between stages, private parking near the campgrounds, and full access to all VIP areas inside the festival. The tents also include guest passes for either weekend.
Inside the tents, guests find one or two queen-sized beds, air conditioning, lighting, power strips, a fridge, soft pillows, fresh towels, sheets, a mirror, and chairs. These tents offer a relaxing and quiet space to return to after a long day of music and fun. There’s also 24-hour security, WiFi, live streams of the festival, evening snacks, and a cash bar. Every morning, guests can enjoy breakfast inside the cool Safari Lounge. There are also extras like on-site massages, help with getting supplies, and delivery of festival gear.

Safari Cabana
The Safari Cabana offers similar comfort. Guests stay in a cozy cabana for four nights, which comes with a queen bed or a lounge-style layout. Like the tents, these cabanas include all the important items such as air conditioning, lighting, a fridge, pillows, sheets, chairs, and more. They also give access to all the same services and spaces, including the Safari Lounge and concierge. One thing to note is that tips, service charges, and the cost of extra items are not included in the original price and will be charged based on what is used.
