How to get verified account on Twitter? Step-by-step guide

Twitter is one of the most prominent platforms in social media which allows its users to interact and share their opinions with others. It has become a stage for almost every influencer or public figure to connect with their respective audience. In 2017, Twitter shut its verification programme but now the verification for the blue tick is coming back.

According to Twitter, “The blue verified badge on Twitter lets people know that an account of public interest is authentic.” Normally, the verification process involves submitting your ID proofs and linking your Facebook profile or Google account. But now, as Twitter is working on a new system for verifying users, the specific details remain unclear.

Follow the below-given steps to get verified on Twitter:

Step 1: Update your Twitter account.

You need to make sure that all your information in your profile is accurate and updated (including your bio, profile picture etc.)

Step 2: Verify your mobile number and confirm your mail ID.

Step 3: Set your Tweets to ‘Public’.
