The teachers were informed that the Education Minister will interact with them through his Twitter (@DrRPNishank) and Facebook (cmnishank) pages at 12pm this afternoon.

CBSE 10th Result 2020 to be released tomorrow: HRD Minister

Union HRD Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will be conducting a Live Session today on May 14 at 12 PM on twitter with the teachers exclusively across the country. Before going live on social media, the minister invited questions from teachers across the nation with the hashtag ‘#EducationMinisterGoesLIVE’.

The teachers were informed that the Education Minister will interact with them through his Twitter (DrRPNishank) and Facebook (cmnishank) pages at 12pm this afternoon.

Teachers who missed to ask questions earlier to the HRD Minister can still use #EducationMinisterGoesLive to comment on the same tweet above.

One of the teachers also raised concerns about the teachers of the CBSE school who have to teach online classes and submit a large number of daily reports, they had little time to conduct board exam assessments.

This will be the third live session of the education minister in a row.

Ramesh Pokhriyal: 'Never thought we would have to bring education online'

"We never thought we will face a situation where we will need to bring education online all over the country," said HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on his Twitter live interaction on Twitter.
 
He further added, "In such a time, it is our teachers who have given us mental strength. We have used all the resources at hand to bring education and educational resources online to make it easier for students."

HRD Minister on schools reopening

In response to a teacher ’s question on his Twitter Live, the HRD Minister said that the lives of teachers and students are now more important. The UGC Task Force will decide how to regulate work when schools and universities reopen. He said that the NCERT has also been asked to create guidelines for academics. 

In response to a question about how will a classroom be able to hold 40 students if social distancing is carried out, he said that these are the kind of problems being worked on right now. Schools and colleges will only reopen after lockdown under the guidelines and safety precautions.

CBSE board exam evaluation process to be done in 50 days

Over this, he said reminded viewers that CBSE is providing the exam answer sheet to the teachers at their home so that the teacher can check the copy during the Covid-19 lockdown. The process was started on May 10 or the previous Sunday.
The goal is to complete a paper assessment within 50 days in order to announce the CBSE board exam results 2020 immediately after the pending board exam ends.

HRD Minister answers the question of a teacher about how a teacher can do 4 hours of online classes plus CBSE paper evaluation

HRD Minister Pokhriyal said that the CBSE paper assessment has already started in some areas, or is about to start in other areas, but teachers who will evaluate the CBSE board exam answer sheet will be exempted from any online teaching duties or online work during report preparation.

HRD Minister: 'Education is also about developing moral knowledge'
HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal reminded viewers that education is not only about providing technical or book knowledge but also about imparting moral knowledge that can shape students ’ideas and turn them into complete people.

He thanked teachers for taking on the difficult task of providing education to millions of students during Covid-19 lockdown when schools, colleges and educational institutions are temporarily closed.
