The cybercrime police have arrested a man for imitating the voice of Arjun Reddy actor Vijay Deverakonda and duping women on video-sharing site YouTube.
The accused, Sai Kiran alias dubbing Vijay Deverakonda created a channel on YouTube and started sharing videos imitating the actor’s voice.
The accused also duped the women replying to them as Vijay Deverakonda. Earlier, the Cybercrime police registered a case after the actor complained about the issue.
He also shared his mobile number stating to approach Sai Kiran to meet the actor. On a fresh complaint lodged by the actor’s follower, the Cybercrime police laid a trap by calling him with a woman’s help.
The woman asked him to meet her in LB Nagar and the accused arrived in the city from his place in Meerzpur of Nasrullabad in Kamareddy.
The police caught him and sent for questioning. According to the police, Sai Kiran runs a tiffin centre in Meerzapur and is residing with her disabled mother. On the villager’s request, the police issued notices to him under section 41 A CRPC and handed over him to villagers.
