Days after his bizarre statement that ‘cow is the only animal to exhale oxygen’, Rajasthan Education Minister Vasudev Devnani on Tuesday stood by his claim and said his comments were based on “research websites.” “I read this fact on research websites and it recently appeared in a magazine,” he said.

He reiterated that people could refer to those research studies.
“The Gaumutra’s benefits and its medicinal values are well known and people use and take its benefits. The burning of cow dung makes the environment free of harmful microorganisms and mosquitoes, making the place suitable for living,” he said.
“Scientific journals and research papers are the basis of my statements,” he added.
The minister further added that various studies have been conducted on the cow, its urine and dung and “people need to understand its scientific values.
Earlier, the minister has said that cow is the only animal that inhales as well as exhales Oxygen. He made the claim while speaking at the Hingonia Goshala during an event organised by Akshay Patra foundation Saturday.
