IIT JAM 2020: The official notification with respect to the reopening of the online application process of the IIT JAM 2020 entrance examination for the aspirants from Jammu and Kashmir has been released by the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur on November 21, 2019.
Jammu and Kashmir candidates who wish to apply for IIT JAM exam 2020 can visit the website at, jam.iitk.ac.in on or before November 28, 2019.
From September 5 to October 9, 2019, 346 candidates from Jammu and Kashmir had applied for JAM 2020, according to the notice.
The notice reads, “However, as per e-mail received from MHRD, a few aspirants from J&K might not have been able to register because of unavailability of net connectivity in J&K. Keeping this in view, the JAM committee decided to open the application process for J&K candidates for a week during 22nd November to 28th November 2019 so as to give them another chance of registration.
How to apply for IIT JAM 2020
- Go to the official website, jam.iitk.ac.in
- Click on the link, ‘(November 21, 2019) Important Information For JAM 2020 Aspirants From J&K’
- A new page will appear
- Then, click on the link, ‘ JOAPS portal’
- For a new user, click on the link for new registration and provide all the required details
- After registration is completed, go back and enter your credentials and log in
- The application form will be displayed
- Enter requisite details and attach all documents
- Make the required payment
- Download the application form and take a print out of it for future use

It is mandatory for Jammu and Kashmir candidates to provide legal documents as proof of J&K citizen or else they will not be allowed for the exam hence, no fees will be refunded in this case.
