IIT JAM 2026 Registration Window: The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay has announced that the registration for IIT JAM 2026 will close on Monday, October 20, 2025. Candidates who want to appear for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026 can submit their application forms on the official website at jam2026.iitb.ac.in.

According to the official schedule, the IIT JAM exam will be held on February 15, 2026. The exam will be conducted in two sessions and will be a computer-based test. There are seven test papers at the undergraduate level. The test papers include three types of questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions. Students can appear in one or two test papers depending on their choice.
Application Fees
Candidates need to pay ₹1000 for one test paper and ₹1350 for two test papers if they belong to female, SC, ST, or PwD categories. For all other candidates, the fee is ₹2000 for one test paper and ₹2700 for two test papers.
If candidates have entered the CATEGORY, GENDER, EXAMINATION CITY or Date of Birth incorrectly, they can make changes by paying an extra fee of ₹300. They can also add an additional test paper or change the test paper(s) in the submitted application form by paying ₹300 before November 10, 2025.
Registration Process
Candidates first need to register on JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS). They have to provide their name, a valid e-mail address, an active mobile number, and set a password. Once registered, the Enrollment ID and OTP will be sent to the e-mail address and mobile number provided by the candidate.

2. On the home page, click on the link to register for IIT JAM 2026.
3. Enter details to register yourself.
4. Fill in the application form.
5. Make the payment of application fee.
6. Click on submit and download the page.
