Next Step After the CDS Result
After the written exam results come out, the candidates who pass will go to the next round. This round has the SSB interview and a medical check. The SSB interview looks at how good the candidate is in talking, thinking, leading, and handling pressure. It also checks if the person is healthy and strong enough to be an officer. The medical test makes sure everyone who passes is fit and meets the health rules of the army.
The CDS exam is one of the most important defence entrance tests in India. UPSC conducts it twice every year to select officers for the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Indian Air Force Academy (IAFA), and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA).
