6:15 PM: The Google on Monday announced that it has decided to remove 17 ‘malicious’ apps from Play Store that were infected by the ‘Joker malware’, which is also known as the ‘Bread malware’. In a statement, the tech giant said that the decision has been taken because these 17 apps had gained “unauthorised access to users’ data” and were a threat to users’ privacy and security.


4:35 PM: The Central Bureau of Investigation, in its statement on Monday said that they are conducting a professional investigation related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput in which all aspects are being looked at and no aspect has been ruled out as of date.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) chief Rakesh Asthana arrived in Mumbai on Sunday to take stock of the probe. The agency has been questioning several top Bollywood stars as part of its investigation into the drug angle in actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

So far actresses such as Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh have been interrogated following their alleged chats purportedly discussing drugs.

Executive Producer Kshitij Ravi Prasad has been sent to custody till October 3. Prasad was produced before Esplanade Court in Mumbai today after being arrested by in connection with the alleged drug abuse nexus in Bollywood.

India’s coronavirus tally crossed the 60-lakh mark on Monday with a spike of 82,170 new cases and 1,039 deaths reported in the last 24 hours. The case tally stands at 60,74,703 including 9,62,640 active cases, 5,01,6521 cured/discharged/migrated & 95,542 deaths, according to the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
