Adding another feather to Indian cricket team’s feather, India beats Bangladesh to make it to finals of the Champions Trophy 2017. The final of the ICC Champions trophy will be against India and Pakistan, a match much anticipated in the country.

India took on Bangladesh in the 2nd semi-final match of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 at Edgbaston. Bangladesh put the target of 164 for the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs. They lost two quick wickets off seven balls at a very crucial stage of innings which gave Indian the advantage to restrict them below 280. India started their chase very well and put more than 50 runs partnership.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first in the second semifinal of ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Bangladesh gave India a winning target of 265 in 50 overs thanks, to some brilliant batting performance by Tamim Iqbal who made 70 runs and Mushfiqur Rahim who scored 61 runs. Both Iqbal and Rahim put the partnership of 123 runs for the third wicket but after that Tigers failed to continue this momentum.

Notably, captain Virat Kohli made a grand 8000 runs in his sports career. Rohit Sharma hit a century in the match. Rohit Sharma becomes the sixth Indian player to hit 200 sixes in international cricket. The others are MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and MS Dhoni.
