Indian railways revamps sleeper Coach with automatic doors, bio-vacuum toilets; Check Photos

The biggest feature of these new coaches is that all the gates will be automatic, which will be closed as soon as the train leaves the station. This will reduce the accidents due to the opening of the gates and also eliminate the chances of robbery. At the same time, the train will not run until all the gates are closed.

The Ministry of Railways is trying to make long-distance trains more comfortable for passengers. For this, a new design of bogies is being developed which is based on the country’s modern train Tejas. This will give people a new experience of traveling in Indian Railways

The new technology and design bogies will be ready in this financial year 2021-22 at Indian Railways’ production unit Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai, and Modern Coach Factory (MCF) Rai Bareily.

A target of creating 500 new coaches based on new technology has been set. These coaches will be added to premium and critical trains and will gradually replace the old coaches across the rail network.

Bio- Vacuum Toilets & other features

In addition, the sleeper coach will also use technology to find out if the toilet is empty or taken from your seat. The sensor will also be aware of the availability of water in the washroom.

Most of the complaints on the train are about the filth in the toilet and the lack of cleanliness. That is why it has also been arranged in new coaches. The new rail coaches will have a bio-vacuum toilet system just like airplanes. This will lead to better flushing and also minimal use of water.

To make people’s journey comfortable, this time the coach has seats and berths which are made from Polyurethane (PU) foam. The sleeper will also now use roller blind curtains on the windows. LED reading lights and charging points have been created at each berth so that there is no long rush of people at one point.
