Intelligence Bureau says ISIS may target Delhi courts around Republic day

The Islamic State may be planning an attack on Delhi courts near about the Republic Day, according to Mail Today quoting a latest input by the Intelligence bureau. However a senior Delhi police official said that Delhi Police has done the most sensitive arrangement for the Republic Day celebration and is ready to handle all the situations.

According to Indian Express reports, ISIS followers, who have taken shelter in Delhi for some time now, are planning to target Indian courts and have done a Reece of the district and the high court for executing a planned attack. Intelligence Bureau has shared a specific input with Delhi Police that ISIS is planning to target Delhi courts during Republic Day.

As per the officials, it was initially believed that ISIS radicals are mostly based in southern parts of India but recent records collected after tracking ISIS footprint say that their sympathisers are also spread all over the northern India. Several cells linked to ISIS are now on the radar of law enforcement agencies.

A senior police official while requesting anonymity told Mail Today, “This time ISIS is targeting the public to hit the Indian government.” Modi has been ISIS’s target because the radical Islamists believe that he did not do enough to protect Muslims from the bloodshed but he has been cleared of any complicity in the violence.
