To clarify, the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) have published a comprehensive list of trading holidays for the year 2024. According to this list, the Indian stock market will be open on Monday, August 19th, 2024.

Stock Market Holidays in August 2024

For those concerned about the schedule, the only stock market holiday in August 2024 was on Independence Day, August 15th. No other holidays are scheduled in August. The next market holiday after August 15th is on October 2nd, 2024, for Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. This means trading will resume as usual on Monday, August 19th, despite Raksha Bandhan being observed on the same day.
