Is Upendra Kushawaha joining hands with Aam Aadmi Party?

New Delhi: Amidst the speculation of Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) chief Upendra Kushwaha quitting National Democratic Alliance (NDA), a close source to RLSP suggested that he can join hands with Aam Admi Party (AAP).

Kushwaha who is miffed with Bhartiya Janata Party over seat sharing issue in Bihar has hinted to quit the NDA.

On Thursday, Kushwaha while addressing an open party workers forum in Motihari district in Bihar made scathing remarks against BJP-JDU led government and said that political parties should not be building temples; rather they should be building schools.

Similarity between Kushwaha & AAP

Both parties have a similar take on an important issue like Ram Temple, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia had similarly raised the same proverb and targeted the BJP for polarising society on communal lines.

Sisodia has said, “Ram Rajya won’t be created through any temple, but through education.”

Why AAP is a better choice for Kushwaha?

RLSP chief’s ambition to become Chief Minister of Bihar is a distant dream if he remains with BJP led NDA. Nitish Kumar presence in the coalition is seen as a major blockade and he was allegedly hinting to join hands with Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan).

A leader who is part of Grand Alliance in the name of anonymity said, “He is too desperate to become the Chief Minister of Bihar, so Mahagathbandhan is the only option where he has slightly a chance of becoming the CM.”

He further added that this is possible only when Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi and Tejpratap Yadav is debarred from politics in case of involvement in corruption like his father Lalu Prasad Yadav.

AAP is also looking for some alternate in their attempt to expand their base in Bihar, Kushwaha’s entry will be a big boost and can disfigure the vote bank politics of many parties.

A source closed to AAP Bihar Unit said, “Upendra Kushwaha who is yet to make the final announcement of leaving NDA, can be an ideal choice for AAP only if he wishes to join.”

He further stated that current AAP Bihar president Shatrughan Sahu is not a big name to attract the middle-class voters and lacks political teeth, but Kushwaha who is a firebrand can solve this issue immediately if he joins AAP.

Speaking with Newsd, Aam Admi Party Bihar Media In charge Dhananjay Sinha, however, denied such information, but he further added that if RLSP Chief Upendra Kushwaha wishes to join our party we welcome him.

Sinha further said that he will be able to give more details on this after the confirmation only.
