'It seems Congress Party doesn’t want my services anymore': Sanjay Nirupam

Maharashtra Assembly Elections are just weeks away and there is no end to the woes of Congress in the state. In the latest turn of events, senior congress leader and former Mumbai Congress chief Sanjay Nirupam today dropped a bombshell denouncing the state party leadership and accused it of sidelining him.

In a tweet, Sanjay Nirupam said he feels the congress party doesn’t need his services anymore.
“I had recommended just one name in Mumbai for the Maharashtra assembly election. (I have) heard that even that has been rejected,” Sanjay Nirupam said in his tweet.

Sanjay Nirumpam also announced he will not be campaigning for the Congress party in Maharashtra. “As I had told the leadership earlier, in that case (if names given by him are not denied tickets), I will not participate in the poll campaign. It’s my final decision,” Sanjay Nirupam said.

In another tweet he said, “I hope that the day has not yet come to say good bye to party. But the way leadership is behaving with me, it doesn’t seem far away.”
