An encounter between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Padgampora, Pulwama started on early Thursday morning. According to the sources, at least 2-3 terrorists have been holed up inside a house and the firings can be heard in the zone.
As per the security forces, information was received by them that a few terrorists have been hiding in a house, following which an investigation was launched. The area was cordoned off.
Apart from that, the operation was initiated late in the night intentionally to evade the people coming out of their house and avoid stone-pelters from creating a interruption in the operation.
The moment the security officials got close to the suspected house, the terrorists began firing and subsequently the fire broke down from both the sides.
There could be a likelihood that around six people are hiding in the house said the security officials. Notably, the incident comes a day after a terrorist was gunned down in Bhopal, suspecting him to be behind the Bhopal train blast.
