Irmim Shamim, a Rajouri resident became the first Gujjar woman in the district to qualify for the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) as she cleared the MBBS entrance exam in June this year.

“Everyone has some problem in their life. You have to fight the challenges and success will definitely come to you,” she was quoted as saying by ANI.

“The girls of Jammu and Kashmir have shown their talent in every field of life on national and international levels,” her uncle Liaqat Choudhary told the news agency.

Shamim’s family wishes her to become a successful doctor and serve the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the country. Praising Shamim’s success story, the District Development Commissioner Aijaz Asad has assured to help her in every possible way.
