Fans have been waiting for the superstar’s final movie which he will release before starting his full-time political career and they now want to know when it will reach theaters after facing several delays.
Originally Scheduled for Pongal 2026 Release
The political action drama H Vinoth directed film was supposed to premiere on January 9 2026 which matched the Pongal festival date. The release was delayed because the film needed to obtain certification from the censor board which remained incomplete at that time.
The film has been mounted on a massive scale and reportedly carries a huge production budget which creates pressure to find an appropriate time for its release.
Why the Film Got Delayed?
According to multiple reports the delay occurred because of problems which arose during the certification process and the legal battles that involved the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The makers later withdrew their legal plea and decided to approach the revising committee instead, which is expected to review the film and grant clearance.

- Late February 2026 (February 27)
- First week of March 2026
These dates are being considered if the censor process concludes quickly. Otherwise, distributors have reportedly suggested May 1, 2026 as a more practical option due to exam season and upcoming elections in Tamil Nadu during March–April.
