Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Sunday warned of disciplinary action against those posting grievances online rather than using official channels of redressal after two such videos was found by two jawans on social media last week.

He said it in an effort to discourage soldiers from taking to social media to post their grievances after two videos surfaced on social platforms of soldiers complaining against officers of ill-treatment and food quality.

General Rawat said, “If any jawan has any grievance, he has been provided with the proper forum to resolve his issue and maintain a balance. The Army chief also noted that terror activities had gone up in Jammu and Kashmir in past few months, on Sunday.
