JEE Main 2020 Paper 2 exam concludes: Check analysis

New Delhi: The JEE Main 2020 Paper 2 exam has been successfully conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) today, on January 6.

The exam has been conducted in two sessions – forenoon and afternoon.

  • Timings of forenoon session- 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
  • Timings of the afternoon session- 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM

However, candidates who appeared for the B.Planning exam were provided 30 minutes extra in the exam and they concluded at 6:00 PM. As per the instructions, candidates reached the examination centre at least an hour before the exam. JEE Main 2020 Paper 2 was held for B.Arch and B.Plan applicants.

For B.Arch, the Mathematics and Aptitude part was conducted in online mode, whereas the drawing part in paper-pencil mode.

Forenoon Session

According to the students who appeared for JEE Main Paper 2 in the morning session, the exam difficulty was overall of the average level. Many find Mathematics part tough while many find it average level.

Afternoon Session

As per media reports, when one of the students, Samiksha from CBSE Board appeared for B.Planning asked about the exam, she replied and said that the exam was of average difficulty level. The aptitude section had questions containing designs and pictures using which candidates have to explain how the image looks like from the top view, side view, and mirror images.

Manya appeared for both B.Arch and B.Plan exams. According to her Mathematics was quite tough but General Aptitude section was easy. The question paper had tricky questions. Overall, it was an exam of moderate difficulty level.

About JEE Main 2020

The JEE Main or Joint Entrance Exam is an exam designed to enroll undergraduate engineering, architecture and planning courses offered by 31 National Institutes of Technology, 25 Indian Institutes of Information Technology and 28 Government Funded Technical Institutes.

JEE Main is also a Qualifying test for JEE Advanced for IIT admissions. The result of JEE Main 2020 will be announced on January 31.
