JEE Mains 2019: Time management tips to nail the entrance exam

How to balance daily chores and study? How to write quickly and neatly? How to finish the question paper within the allotted time?

These questions are popping up into the mind of students appearing for Joint Entrance Examination (Mains), the national level undergraduate engineering entrance exam for admission to B.Tech/B.E programmes, scheduled to be held between January 6 and January 20, 2019.

Don’t worry. It is natural for candidates to feel highly anxious. Newsd brings you the answers to these questions. The answers are as follows:

Time management

With a month left for JEE Mains 2019, students appearing should make a list of important topics and complete them first. The second step is to learn to say no to friends and family. You do not need any distraction. Concentrate on your best subjects first and then, later on, shift to the hard ones. In the end, set time duration for every task and topic for the day. Make sure to complete it in a stipulated time period.

Regular study

Regular study is a must as the JEE syllabus is vast. Students should make a study routine according to their convenience and stick to it. Try to complete the syllabus and then revise it. Set targets everyday and try to achieve it.

Clarify doubts

Consult with your friends. Ask them how they have cracked the exam. What tips and strategies they have applied to clear the exam.

Mock papers

Solving mock papers and previous year’s papers is a good way to enhance the exam preparation. Take a watch and practice writing answers. Take previous year question papers and then start writing. Try to finish the answers within a stipulated period.

Be concise and to the point

Examiners allot marks for answers written neatly and to the point. Answers should be concise and precise because marks are given for what is asked in the question.

Break

We all know the famous proverb ‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’. The same is applicable to JEE aspirants. Not only concentrate on your studies but also take a break. Rejuvenate during JEE preparation by listening to music, hang out with friends, etc.
