Jeep Wrangler Bookings Open: Jeep India is going to launch the new avatar of its popular SUV Wrangler in India. For which the company has started accepting pre-booking.

The point to be noted here is that the new model will be brought to India as a CKD (complete knocked down) unit and will be prepared at the company’s Ranjangaon plant near Pune in Maharashtra.

The official prices of the 2021 Jeep Wrangler will be announced on March 15.

The made-in-India model will definitely be much cheaper than the existing CBU version of the Jeep Wrangler which is currently priced at Rs 68.94 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model of this SUV will have a new design and dashboard. Wrangler will have an integrated Uconnect 4C 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and will come with navigation systems.

Jeep Wrangler 2021: Power and Features

A 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine will be used to power the 2021 Jeep Wrangler. This engine will generate a peak power of 268bhp and 400Nm of torque at 3000rpm. A new 8-speed automatic gearbox will be given for its transmission.

The new Wrangler will come with a Selec-Trac full-time 4 wheel drive system. Some of its other features will include dual-zone auto climate control, premium leather upholstery with white leather stitching, idol keyless entry, push-button start, etc.

Not to forget that Jeep has recently announced plans to launch four vehicles in India by 2022. The locally assembled Wrangler follows the facelifted Jeep Compass in this strategy, to be followed by the seven-seat derivative of the Compass and the locally assembled, new-gen Jeep Grand Cherokee.
