Ranchi: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued a show cause notice to its Giridih Member of Parliament (MP) Ravindra Pandey and Baghmara Member of Legislative Assembly Dhullu Mahto over the accusations which have maligned the party image.
The blame game between the two occurred when MLA Dhullu Mahto was alleged of sexual harassment by a woman party member and later he claimed that the accusation leveled against him was done on the behest of BJP MP Ravindra Pandey.
The BJP state unit found the act as a major discipline issue and told them to submit their response within a week to the state president.
A show cause letter dated November 27, has been issued to both the party leaders.
Former BJP state president Laxman Giluva had told media that the party had sought a response from both the elected representatives.
In the sexual harassment case both the leaders were involved in blaming each other for conspiracy. BJP secretary Deepak Prakash has said that party has taken up the matter seriously and the state president is looking into the matter.
“In order to investigate the matter, a committee is likely to form by the BJP state unit,” said Deepak Prakash.
