There have been reports of misbehaviour with health workers engaged in the battle with the Coronavirus. The latest case is from Chaibasa district of Jharkhand. The women of the street have been beaten up a nurse posted in the isolation ward at Sadar Hospital.

In this matter, nurse Kripalta Kido has registered a case against several women in the Mufusil police station.

Referring to the incident, the nurse said that when she arrived at the house and went out to fetch water but before entering, an elderly woman stopped her. The woman said that by touching her that you are spreading the disease, so you will not allow water to fill.

Then the woman began to drive away from the nurse and started beating her. Her daughter and granddaughter also came and beat the nurse. This has caused the nurse injured in the face, hand and waist.

After the assault, the nurse has lodged a complaint with the Mufusil police station. The police also went to the victim’s street and enquired. At present police have not arrested anyone in the case.

The nurse said that her duty is constantly thereafter the isolation ward was formed. After finishing duty, she cleans the Chepkal before entering the house. Even in this situation, she has to lock her daughter at home to go on duty. She also added, her husband has been trapped in Ranchi in lockdown so that she has fallen alone.
