Jimin On Billboard’s Albums Chart: In 2023, Jimin’s solo career took off, as did the careers of numerous other BTS boy band members. The vocalists began releasing singles under their respective names while the group was on hiatus, and they were all rather successful in the Billboard charts. The superstar is back and creating history once more, only months after releasing his debut solo collection.

This week, Face, Jimin’s first solo release, debuted at No. 59 on the Billboard 200. When the collection was recently made available on vinyl, the BTS singer’s ardent fans flocked to get a copy in large numbers. With another week on the schedule, the title has once again progressed on a significant all-time ranking thanks to their purchasing power, which propelled him back to the top of the list of the most-consumed albums in the United States.

Face has now been included on the Billboard 200 for seven weeks. Currently tied with fellow BTS member RM for the third-longest stay on the list among South Korean solo musicians’ releases, he has one more frame on the leaderboard.

Late in 2022, RM released Indigo, his most recent solo project. The set barely lasted for one frame on the Billboard 200 at first, failing to crack the top 10. The song reappeared and remained on the count for a total of seven weeks when the rapper and vocalist later made it available in tangible form following its first release.

The longest stay on the Billboard 200 for a South Korean solo artist’s album belongs to Jung Kook. His best-selling book Golden is still going strong after 11 cycles on the competitive list. Given that it is currently ranked No. 44, it may continue to cling on for many more weeks or maybe months.

Layover by V is the runner-up on the list of South Korean solo performers’ longest-charting singles on the Billboard 200. Only a few months after Jimin’s Face was released, another BTS member’s creation remained on the list for eight weeks.

Face Album

April 2023 saw the release of Face, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The performance was one of several by BTS vocalists that fell just short of the top place. Although no South Korean solo artist has yet to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard200, it won’t be long until one does. Based on their previous performances, it may even be a member of the K-pop group that now rules the world.
