With the arrival of 2019, Jio GigaFiber can be expected to reach almost all big cities in the coming months. Jio which has already launched its Fiber to the home(FTTH) service on 15th August 2018 is about to make a big break in the Indian broadband market with the new services.
Only last year the company had shared at their Annual General Meeting Jio about Fibre-to-the-home broadband service. The company aims to connect millions of homes with the project. The router would provide internet speeds to upto 1 Gbps.
Jio has launched the service to select locations across the National Capital Region. Below we list about the offers the company in expected to put in place and the details regarding the roll-out.
Under the preview offer, the company is offering 100 GB data per month at an speed of 100 Mbps for a period of three months. In case a user exhausts the limit he could buy the additional data plans. The installation for the GigaFiber comes with no cost but a security deposit will be asked for before which. The charges would be refunded in case you wish to cancel your plan and return the set.
Post free period plans:
There is no plans and prices released by the company yet. But reports suggest that at the beginning plans may start at Rs 500 for 300 GB of data per month.
Roll out dates?
Reports suggest that the full commercial release might take place in the month of March. Initially, Reliance Jio is planning to make a launch in more than 1000 cities of the country.
