JMM Action Against Former Congress Minister: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has asked Congress to take action against former minister Yogendra Saw after his fresh remarks against Chief Minister Hemant Soren. JMM central spokesperson Manoj Pandey said Saw’s comments are a serious issue because Congress is part of the ruling alliance in Jharkhand.
Saw has called Soren the “most corrupt Chief Minister”. He also alleged that senior officials such as former JPSC chairman L Khyangte and IAS officer Vinay Choubey were made scapegoats whenever the government came under pressure. Saw further claimed that Jharkhand’s “jal, jungle and zameen” were being given to corporate companies.
He also appealed to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to withdraw support from the Hemant Soren government. Saw said he would continue to speak what he believes is the truth.
JMM Demands Action From Congress
Manoj Pandey said the JMM has taken strong note of Saw’s statement and wants Congress to act against him. He said the matter has already been brought to the attention of Jharkhand Congress in-charge K Raju.
“Congress is an ally and a key constituent of their coalition, and Yogendra Saw is associated with that party. Although Saw had previously faced disciplinary action and was subsequently reinstated by the Congress, his current attitude and the language he uses are extremely crude and offensive. Immediate action must be taken against him,” said Pandey.
He also warned that not taking action could create problems between the alliance partners.
“Congress leaders, whether based in Delhi or Ranchi, are mature individuals, and appropriate, swift action will certainly be taken against Yogendra Saw to ensure that such people are not emboldened”, he said.
Congress minister Irfan Ansari also criticised Saw. He said, “It has hurt him from inside.” Ansari added that leaders should stand with CM Hemant Soren instead of making such statements.

Saw Had Faced Congress Action Earlier
This isn’t the first time Saw has faced disciplinary action over remarks against Soren. Congress expelled him for three years in March 2026 after repeated criticism of the chief minister and the coalition government. The action came after Saw spoke against the government following the demolition of his house in Hazaribagh. Congress later revoked the disciplinary action in June 2026.
