The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has again extended the registration date for the winter semester till January 15, 2020 amid the fee hike protest that turned violent and January 5 attack over students by the masked crowd.
This is the second time that the registration deadline is being extended. Before it had been delayed from January 5 to January 12 but now the process will conclude on January 15.
As per the circular issued by the JNU on Sunday, January 12, a candidate can apply until January 15 without paying the late fees. Earlier, the last date to end the registration process for the winter semester was January 5.
Due to the severely damaged communication systems in the university, the JNU on Monday announced the deadline for registration.
After the month-long agitation against the hostel fee hike, the university property was damaged by infiltrated masked elements that had injured a lot of students.
