Actor Shahid Kapoor has registered his career’s biggest opening with “Kabir Singh”, which raked in over Rs 20 crore on day one of its releases. Showing excellent growth on Sunday, the romantic drama added Rs 27.91 crore more to its kitty.
Now in a first, the actor has made another record for himself, on the fifth day, Kabir Singh has made it to the Rs 100 crore club thereby becoming the first film of Shahid to reach this spot. On Tuesday the film collected Rs 16.53 crore which is a very good collection for a movie on a weekday. The total collection of the movie reaches Rs 104.90 crore.

If everything goes in favor, the movie will easily cross Rs 150 crore in the coming week and can even make it to Rs 200 crore club.
Kabir Singh is an official remake of the 2017 Telugu hit Arjun Reddy. The original film stars Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey, while the Hindi remake features Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani.
“Kabir Singh” narrates the story of Kabir (Shahid), a young final year medical student who falls in love with Preeti (Kiara), his junior in college. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar and Ashwin Varde, the film is a T-Series and Cine1 Studios presentation.
