Kalank box office collection day 5: Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt starrer witness disappointing extended weekend

The recently release trailer of the film has left everyone stunned and wanting for more. The celebs like Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit were roped in in this Dharma movie and the excitement went sky high of the fans. The teaser divided the internet into the two halves while the songs soon became the social media trend. Now, finally just ahead of its release, Kalank trailer is out and here is our take on it!

Just as expected the sets and the backdrops are extravagant and spell opulence. The stars are also seen in their traditional best. We did expect it the flick to high on intense emotions and love story and so it is.

However, the film’s trailer will infuse feelings of love, betrayal and longing in you. The background music is haunting and the sets will make you revisit the Bhansali films for sure. Also, the trailer has major portions only about Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s bonding. We see very less of Sonakshi and Aditya in the video. Also, what the fans were most excited about was Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit’s presence together and the trailer disappoints on that part as we barely get to see them. Hopefully, the movie will have more screen time from Sanjay and Madhuri. The ending scene reveals the love triangle between Aditya Roy Kapur, Alia Bhatt and Vaun Dhawan. Set in the backdrop of partition, Kalank has definitely upped everyone’s expectations.

After almost two decades, the fans got to see the golden on-screen couple of the 90s era, Sanjay and Madhuri share the screen space again. This is their fourth film together and the magic of their chemistry continues to ooze through their romantic scenes. However, the film is nothing of what was expected from it and we hope that the flick has something more to offer!
